Sustainability

Made with care, for rooms and for the planet.

We believe a beautiful home shouldn’t cost the earth. So we’ve built Norra Collective around a simple idea: make only what’s wanted, from materials that can be grown again.

MADE TO ORDER, NEVER OVERSTOCKED

Every print is produced only after you order it. There are no warehouses of unsold stock, no end-of-season markdowns and no piles of prints headed for landfill. Each piece exists because someone chose it.

FRAMES FROM RENEWABLE FORESTS

Our frames are crafted from alder, a semi-hardwood sourced from renewable forests. Alder grows quickly and regenerates naturally, which makes it one of the more responsible woods for everyday furniture and frames. It’s lightweight, durable and finished in a clean matte that lets the artwork lead.

PAPER THAT’S BUILT TO LAST

Each print is made on thick, museum-quality matte paper, heavy enough to stay flat and rich enough to hold color for years. The most sustainable piece of art is the one you never need to replace.

1% FOR THE TREES

We donate 1% of our profits to One Tree Planted, an environmental nonprofit dedicated to global reforestation.

Since 2014, One Tree Planted has planted more than 135 million trees across 82 countries, working alongside hundreds of local planting partners. Their projects restore forests where they’re needed most: after wildfires and floods, on land cleared for agriculture, and in habitats that endangered species depend on.

Their work goes beyond planting. Projects are designed with local communities and scientists to make sure trees survive and thrive. That work supports farming families through agroforestry, creates local jobs, protects watersheds that provide drinking water, and rebuilds biodiversity. In Latin America and the Caribbean, their projects partner with Indigenous communities. In Asia, they’re restoring habitat for critically endangered wildlife.

When you bring a Norra Collective piece home, you’re helping a forest grow somewhere in the world.

ALWAYS IMPROVING

Sustainability is a practice, not a finish line. We’re continually looking at how our pieces are made, packed and shipped, and we’ll keep sharing what we learn.
